WELCOME TO CENTRL STATION

Welcome to the July Edition of C/O Digest!

This month, we’ve got a piece on why taking on a new project might be just what you need right now, a member spotlight featuring Drew Kitchen and Billy Messori of Kime Builders, events happening in the space, plus a look at what’s coming up around town.

July means longer days and that kind of summer energy that makes you want to build, create, or just dive into something new. Whether you’re deep in summer plans or just looking ahead, there’s something satisfying about having real work to focus on. We’re grateful for the members and businesses that make CENTRL such a creative, inspiring place to be.

From our workspace to yours,

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

For the past three years, Drew Kitchen and Billy Messori, Principals at Kime Builders, have called CENTRL Office South Bay in El Segundo their business home. When asked what inspired them to start Kime Builders, they shared, "We've always been in Construction Management. We saw an opportunity in the market and decided it was our time to give it a try."

Drew and Billy both bring years of experience to their work. Drew comes from an engineering background, while Billy brings experience in commercial real estate. Together, they saw a chance to build something new in Southern California’s contracting landscape.

Their goal? "To be a major player in the Southern California commercial general contracting market." They continue to take on projects across offices, industrial spaces, hospitality, retail, multifamily, restaurants, healthcare, and life sciences.

What keeps them at CENTRL? "Networking opportunities, great value, free food and coffee," they say. Sometimes the little things make a big difference. Their favorite part about working from CENTRL is the chance to connect with other professionals while enjoying great amenities.

At CENTRL, they’ve found a space that fits their needs, offering value, opportunities to network with other businesses, and, of course, good coffee.

We're so glad they found their spot at CENTRL, and thrilled to have them as part of our community.

WORKING BETTER

With everyone talking about AI these days, writer Rosie Spinks offers an unexpected take: people with creative or non-traditional careers might be more ready for the future than they realize. Instead of a survival guide, this piece gives a fresh perspective, and one that’s worth taking some time to consider.
